4. Payments
Chanz will not accept any bets from you unless there are adequate funds in your Chanz account to cover the amount of the bet.
You can make deposits to your Chanz account only with your personal card or via your personal bank or e-wallet account. Similarly, you can request withdrawals of funds held on your Chanz account only to your personal bank account, credit card or e-wallet account.
Chanz will not accept a deposit from you or make a payment to you from your Chanz account in excess of EUR 2,000 (whether as single payment or related transactions) before your identity, age, and place of residence as well as the sources and origin of income have been sufficiently verified. Therefore we may request that you provide us with additional information and documents (e.g. copy of your passport or ID card, proof of address such as a utility bill, a bank statement proving your income etc.) within reasonable time. Failure to provide the requested information may lead to us confiscating any winnings on your account, returning the original deposit or remaining balance, as the case may be, to you (subject to reasonable charges) and closure of your Chanz account. We are required to verify your identity in order to comply with mandatory requirements under anti-money laundering and terrorist financing laws.
All your winnings will be credited to your Chanz account. In processing withdrawals we apply the same source principle meaning that withdrawals from your Chanz account should be made using the same payment method as was used for the original deposit.
Payouts may be delayed if additional documents or information are needed to verify your identity, income, or transactions. This is necessary to comply with legal requirements..
We are dependent on you providing us with correct details of your personal account for the purpose of facilitating withdrawals from your Chanz account without undue delays.
Chanz may appoint a payment solution provider to act, receive deposits, hold and manage funds, and/or expedite withdrawals, on behalf of Chanz.
Depending on the payment method chosen by you, certain minimum and/or maximum deposit limits may apply as notified on the Site. We reserve the right to charge your Chanz account for administrative costs resulting from withdrawals made by you in such circumstances and terms as indicated on the Site.
Due to anti-money laundering requirements it is not possible to transfer money from one Chanz account to another Chanz account.
All transactions on your Chanz account are checked to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. We will report any suspicious transactions to competent authorities. In connection with this, funds on your Chanz account may be frozen, your account may be closed and any funds on the same confiscated.
We do not allow bets on credit. However, if your Chanz account is credited erroneously, you agree that we may debit your account accordingly. In the event the account holds a negative balance after corrected result (i.e. you have made bets with money erroneously credited to your Chanz account ), you must repay us the amount so owed.
We may confiscate funds on your Chanz account and/or refuse to honour a claim for winnings if: (i) you have infringed these Terms; or (ii) you have engaged in other unauthorised activities in connection with use of your Chanz account (e.g. breach of law or other applicable regulations, breach of third party rights, fraud and cheating etc.).
Your Chanz account does not accrue interest.
We reserve the right to charge a monthly administrative fee for Inactive Accounts. An “Inactive Account" is a Chanz account which has no record of any log-in and/or log-out for a period exceeding 12 consecutive months. The monthly administrative fee for Chanz accounts held in euros is set at EUR 5. The administrative fee will be charged and deducted from the Inactive Account at the beginning of the month following the month in which the Chanz account became inactive. The administrative fee will not be charged once the account balance reaches zero. We reserve the right to close the Inactive Account once the account reaches zero balance. All Chanz account holders whose accounts remain inactive for 12 months will be notified within 30 days prior to said fee being charged from their Chanz accounts. You may therefore reactivate your Chanz account by logging in/logging out or withdrawing your funds within the 30 days’ time window without incurring any fees.
You need to have funds in your account to be able to play for money.
Deposits and withdrawals may be made only to/from an account or card in your name.
Payments of € 2000 or more will trigger a check of your identity and other data checks in accordance with legal requirements.
Suspicious transactions may be reported to authorities.
If you breach these terms or break the law, funds on your account may be taken over. So again, do not do anything stupid and your funds will be safe.
We may charge administrative fee on inactive accounts – you will be notified in good time before this happens.
5. Bonuses and Promotional Offers
Chanz will offer bonuses and make available other promotional offers for games on the Site from time to time („Campaign“). Unless stated otherwise, bonus rules will be defined in the terms and conditions of each Campaign.
You are eligible for one bonus per Campaign, and one bonus per Chanz account which shall mean no more than one bonus per user, IP address, computer device, family, residential address, telephone number, credit or debit card and/or e-payment account, e-mail address, and environments where computers are shared (university, fraternity, school, public library, workplace, etc.).
Bonuses may be subject to the obligation of wagering them a certain number of times before they can be withdrawn. When meeting bonus wagering requirements, your real money balance is deemed to be wagered first. If a bonus is subject to wagering requirement, winnings generated by the wager of the bonus can be withdrawn only when the wagering requirement is fulfilled.
Unless stated otherwise in the Campaign terms, the bonus amount must be wagered a minimum of 60 (sixty) times before the bonus, amount of deposit contributed to claim the bonus and winnings can be withdrawn.
Wagering requirements will vary from bonus to bonus and the particular rules will be published on our Site in relation to each bonus.
All bonuses expire in 30 days after being claimed unless specified otherwise in Campaign terms.
A player that has never made a successful deposit prior to winning will only be allowed a maximum withdrawal of €250 of winnings in total from his or her Chanz account, regardless of the total amount won. The remaining balance will be forfeited.
You must not engage in bonus abuse. Bonuse abuse may include a breach of terms of a Campaign, or the opening of multiple Chanz accounts to claim multiple bonuses.
Where we suspect that you are engaged in bonus abuse, we may:
- forfeit the bonus allocated to your Chanz account and any winnings from that bonus, and/or
- revoke, deny, or withdraw a bonus offer from your Chanz account, and/or
- exclude you from any future promotional offers, and/or
- close your Chanz account.
We may offer bonuses and other promotions on the site.
If you accept a bonus, please honour bonus terms. Abuse of bonus terms may lead to loss of your bonus and winnings.
6. Game Rules
6a. Rules for Games of Chance
Games offered on the Site as part of the Services are licensed to Chanz by various game software providers (as indicated in each game information).
Bets placed in the games are placed respectively on the servers of the game software provider in whose game the bet is made.
Chanz is licensed by the game software providers to represent, promote and market these games on the Site. Chanz receives, holds and pays funds to you for the purpose of transactions and settlements in these games.
You can find information about probability of winning (so-called theoretical return to player) in all games offered on the Site in each individual game together with the game’s description and game-play rules.
Some games made available on the Site give you the possibility to win additional prizes (e.g. jackpots) in these games (Additional Games of Chance or Jackpot Games). Each time you place a bet in a Jackpot Game, a portion of the bet is allocated to the Jackpot pool, managed by game software supplier.
If a game is classified as a Jackpot game, you will find this information together with the applicable Jackpot rules in each individual game’s description and game-play rules.
Jackpot wins are paid out in such amounts as registered for a given Jackpot on the Chanz servers (this might not necessarily always be the same amount as what is displayed as Jackpot amount on your screen). Please note that Jackpot calculator may display the Jackpot amount in a currency different from the one that you play in via your Chanz account. If you win a Jackpot, the win amount will be calculated into and paid out in the currency of your Chanz account.
Jackpot wins are subject to verification by us and the relevant game software provider. Our decisions made on Jackpot wins are final and not subject to revision.
You agree that we (in cooperation with game software provider) have the right to change the rules of any Jackpot Game or discontinue any Jackpot Game at any time.
Should your game-play be interrupted by a failure of the telecommunication system, or your computer system or any game error or malfunction after you have placed a bet, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that our computer system enables you to resume, upon restoration of the system, your participation in the Services as at the time immediately before the interruption. If our system does not enable you to do so, we will: (i) ensure that the game is terminated; and (ii) refund the amount of the bet to your Chanz account.
You can find game descriptions, theoretical payout and playing rules in each individual game.
6b. Rules for Betting (“Chanzpool”)
As part of the Services offered on the Site, Chanz operates a social pool betting product where you and other Chanz customers can form a prize pool by making predictions on events in the pool.
You can launch your own pool or take part in an existing pool on the Site.
Pools may be in different currencies but all transactions are automatically converted into your account currency.
You and other Chanz customers compete with each other in trying to correctly predict as many event outcomes in the chosen pool as possible. The ultimate goal is to predict as many correct outcomes as possible in the pool to increase your chances of winning. Amount of your bet placed in the pool is either pre-determined or up for selection.
Once you have made your predictions on event outcomes in the pool and your bet amount is confirmed, you will receive a ticket confirming your bet. It is not possible to change your predictions in the pool after you have confirmed your bet and a ticket has been issued.
Pool winnings are calculated as soon as all events in the pool are finished. Winnings will be credited to you Chanz account within hours or as soon as event results are confirmed by official sources. If there is more than one winning ticket in the pool, then winnings are equally split between those winning ticket holders. If there are no winning tickets in the pool, then all bets will be returned to customer accounts unless it is a ‘jackpot’ type pool.
Total winnings in the pool can never exceed the total prize pool, unless extra money was added by Chanz or it is ‘jackpot’ type pool.
Events in the pool are voided if:
- an event does not have a result in 36 hrs after official starting time of the event;
- an event started before closing time of the pool;
- venue of an event has changed.
If an event included the pool is voided then all outcomes of the event are resolved as correct in the pool.
Monies from all participating customer tickets form the prize pool for a particular pool. Prize pool is always an estimation of the total prize pool as at the given moment you view the pool. Chanz redistributes as winnings at least 80% of the bets received in a pool. Chanz reserves the right to add extra prize money into the pools.
Chanz offers the following pool types:
‘Regular’ - Ticket with highest number of correct predictions in the pool wins.
Example: 10 tickets were placed in the pool. When all events in the pool had results, two tickets had 7 correct predictions and all remaining tickets had correct predictions anywhere from 6 to 0. In this case there would be two winning tickets, which split the prize pool of this pool equally.
‘Special’ - Ticket with highest number of correct predictions (but not less than minimum required number of correct predictions) wins.
Example 1: 10 tickets were placed in the pool, which included 10 events with ‘8’ correct predictions as minimum threshold to trigger winnings. When all events in the pool had results, two tickets had 7 correct predictions and all remaining tickets had correct predictions anywhere from 6 to 0. In this case, there will be no winning tickets since the minimum required 8 correct predictions was not reached. All customers who placed tickets in the pool receive their monies back to their accounts.
Example 2: 10 tickets were placed in the pool, which included 10 events with ‘8’ correct predictions as minimum threshold to trigger winnings. When all events in the pool had results, one ticket had 9 correct predictions and all remaining tickets had correct predictions anywhere from 7 to 0. In this case the threshold of at least 8 correct predictions was reached and there is one winning ticket, which wins the entire prize pool.
‘Jackpot’ - Ticket with all correct predictions in the pool wins.
Example 1: 10 tickets were placed in the pool, which included 10 events. The outcomes of all 10 events have to be correct to trigger winnings. When all events in the pool had results, two tickets had 7 correct predictions and all remaining tickets had correct predictions anywhere from 6 to 0. In this case, there will be no winning tickets since no ticket contained all 10 correct predictions. Entire prize of the pool will be carried over to the next Chanz Jackpot pool.
Example 2: 10 tickets were placed in the pool, which included 10 events. The outcomes of all 10 events have to be correct to trigger winnings. When all events in the pool had results, two tickets had 10 correct predictions and all remaining tickets had correct predictions anywhere from 6 to 0. In this case there are two winning tickets, which equally split the prize pool.
When settling tickets, we will observe the following rules for determination of outcomes of various sporting events:
Football. It is always the match result at normal time that counts, unless otherwise stated in the ‘i’ box for given match.
Icehockey. It is always the match result at normal time that counts, unless otherwise stated in the ‘i’ box for given match.
Tennis. Event is valid as long as the match is finished within frame of the tournament. At least one set needs to be completed between players to define the winner.
Basketball. It is always the result including over-time that counts, unless otherwise stated in the ‘i’ box for given match.
Chanz and the game software providers’ employees, licensees, distributors, affiliates, subsidiaries, agents, and members of their respective immediate families may not make use of the Services.
Check your predictions carefully before confirming your bet - it is not possible to change after ticket has been issued.
There can be multiple winning tickets in the same pool or no winning tickets at all. In case of multiple winning tickets prize is equally split between ticket holders.
Monies from all customer tickets form prize pool.
There are specific determination rules for each sport.
