The Expanding Symbols feature is really the center of this game. It is triggered when three stacked symbols appear on the first one of your reels. Any symbol in your game area which is the same symbol as your stacked symbols on the first reel and part of winning combination, will turn into an expanding symbol and cover the whole reel it appears on.

The Free Spin feature is activated with 10 free spins when you land at least 3 of the Cosmic Voyager logo symbols on your reels. During the Free Spin feature at least one or more medium to high value symbols on your first reel will expand and become stacked triggering the Expanding Symbols feature. The Free Spin feature can also be re-triggered if you land 3 or more scatter symbols during it.

Overall we enjoyed this game a lot. As already mentioned, it does have bit of that Starburst-vibe on it with its space theme and expanding symbols, but then again we love Starburst so we don’t really mind that at all. And Cosmic Voyager has actually only improved the working recipe, as it also has the Free Spin feature and much larger potential payouts. Better than Starburst?
